Scouthike (13 - 15 May 2011)

ScoutHike is Sydney North Region's premier annual Scout Section event held in May each year. If you are interested in an exciting weekend, lightweight hiking around a State Forest - then this is the event you must register for!
 
This year's theme is 'Aliens'. Twenty Nine Activity Bases are being setup to celebrate various alien themes from throughout the universe! Twenty four of the activities contained a component of the Scout Award Scheme.

Key Dates for ScoutHike 2011
  • February - Registrations are open.  100 Bonus points allocated.
  • 31st March - Early Bird Registration close.  Additional $10 per Scout and no 100 point bonus if registered late.
  • 18th April - All payments must be received by the Epping leaders 
  • 27th April - Payment to be received by ScoutHike headquarters or 100 points will be deducted from your patrol total and you will also forfeit any earlybird points.
  • 1st May - Changes to Patrols close.  Last chance!!
In the event of a person withdrawing from your Patrol after the closing date (1st of May 2011), refunds will not be made except in exceptional circumstances, and then only at the discression of the ScoutHike Organiser.  Arrangements should be made by the Patrol to substitute a new patrol member, advising the ScoutHike Registrar of any updates to Patrol members.
 
Download, complete and return your A1 permission note to your ScoutHike Patrol Leader or one of the leaders.  Payment of the $75 can be made by EFT to Epping Scout Group, BSB: 032-287 Acct: 15 0933, or cheque or cash to one of the Scout leaders.

It is advisable to read this material so that you know what gear is required, food to be taken and how your parents can find ot what time to pick you up on the Sunday afternoon.
