•What is it?
–An overnight hike suitable for Scouts and their families to see what a typical Scout “Cord” hike might be like
•When is it?
–1pm Saturday 26th – “About Lunchtime” Sunday 27th May
•Where is it?
–We start at Berowra station
–hike about 5km to Crosslands via the Benowie walking track,
–Camp overnight at Crosslands
•How do we get there?
–Train from Epping to Berowra Station
–At least one car will be positioned at Crosslands
–The next morning, we ferry hikers by car back to Hornsby station
–Train from Hornsby to Epping Station and home…
•Who can go?
–The hike is of “Low difficulty” with some steep (but manageble) grades and is suitable for all Scouts, their (moderately fit) Parents and (9 – 11 y.o.) Siblings
•What do I need to bring?
–Hiking gear (pack, sleeping bag, etc)
–Tent (you can borrow one from Scouts if needed)
–Snacks. Dinner and Breakfast will be catered for
•How much will it cost?
–$20 per participant will cover all food and camping costs at Crosslands
