Yet another action packed, fun filled year comes to an end... and Epping Scouts' traditional end of year Wet 'n Wild waterslide comes out. This year, we've invited Scouts from troops that we camped with at the State Jamborette to join us, so that we can say hello to old friends and make some new ones.
The water slide will start at 6:30pm, bring a change of clothes, towel and a plate of food for sharing.
The time has come to go for a paddle in our canoes.
Due to this and that, we have decided to go for Sunday.
This is pretty fun, as we’ll meet at Meadowbank and go towards the city.
The form is attached, however I must stress the need for plenty of water and sun protection.
Bring a yummy lunch, healthy snacks, like dried fruit and sultanas, chocolate might melt,
Another good idea to keep lunch cool and give you an iced drink, is to freeze a bottle of water to keep with your lunch, then you have iced water as the day goes.
This Hike is open to all Scouts who have attained level 1 or 2 canoe qualifications, if you have not got this level but are still interested, talk to Ginger, Shaggy or Rama and we will assess if you have the necessary skills to participate
Please let Ginger know ASAP that you can come.

Those Scouts who went to the State Jamborette in October will remember how much fun we had with the other troops from the Sydney North Region whome we camped with. One of these troops, 1st Bayview Sea Scouts have kindly invited us to join them in a "Hall camp". Being a Sea Scout troop, 1st Bayview's hall is actually a boatshed situated on the shores of Pittwater and the camp will mainly involve sailing training, practice and races. We may also do canoe training, wharf jumping, swimming, wind surfing, towed behind a boat, and other water activities that suit the location.
"Epping scouts and leaders are invited to come along. It is a very relaxed camp as it is hall based if anyone have sports or other commitments then they can come for part of the camp or stay the full camp, we just need to know in advance numbers for each meal but otherwise it is very flexible. Details in the attached A1."
If you want to go, please let Shaggy know by Friday 11/11/11 so that we can confirm numbers with Bayview.
