District Camp: Friday 8th - Monday 11th June

What is it? Yanagin District Camp
No - what is it really? We camp as a Patrol together with the other Troops in Yanagin District (1st Roselea, 1st Brush Park, Epping / Marsfield & beecroft Cheltnham Scout Troops). We compete for points on campcraft. We participate in many fun activities. we meet new and old friends
Where is it? Cataract Scout Park, "160 Hectares of Adventure, Cataract Scout Park has been the site for two Australian and one World Jamboree. January saw 12,000 participants at AJ2001 camped at NSW's largest permanent Scout activities centre" see : http://www.nsw.scouts.com.au/cataract/
When is it? Queens Birthday long weekend in June, we leve Friday night and get bck Monday afternoon
How much is it? $70 covers camping fees, badges and food
What shoud I bring?
  • Sleeping Bag
  • Mess Kit
  • Change of clothings
  • Wet weather gear
  • Thermals
  • Sense of Humor
What should I not bring?
  • Electronic games
  • lollies
  • soft drinks
  • bad temper
Who should come? Everyone, but especially if you are going to AJ2013 and need to get your nights camped under canvas qualifications.
Can Parents Come Too? Of course - all parents are welcome to come as helpers (you will need to fill in the attached A1 form).
 
What should I do next? Fill out the attached A1 form, sign it and hand it, together with your $50 fee, to Shaggy by Wednesday 30th May
