District Camp is held annually and represents the premier Scout Camp for troops in our (Yanagin) district. We will be joined by (and competing against) Scouts from neighboring troops 1st Roselea, Beecroft / Cheltenham, 1st Brush Park and Eastwood / Marsfield This is a Patrol competition camp based on camping skills. Activity points will be awarded based on how well you perform certain activities during the camp and also on how well you run your camp. Scouts will be required to camp in Patrols. Patrols will be required to setup and maintain their own Patrol camp within the larger Troop Camp, do their own cooking and washing up - pretty much like what ScoutHike was, only you don't hike anywhere, just camp in the same location for the 3 nights. In addition, this is also a Cub Link event and Cub scouts intending to link up to scouts in the next 6 months are invted to join us on the Sunday and Monday - camping overnight on Sunday (when we have the Campfire!!). ![]() In the two previous years, Epping has won both the Gilwell Shield for best Patrol as well as the Troop Camping Award. We must defend this title!! What do I need to bring?
