Scout Program for Term 1 2017
The start of a brand new year full of brand new adventures... Term 1 is as always, a busy one where we spend lots of time in, on and around the water. The other major activity for Term 1 is getting ourselves ready for ShoutHike - the MOST IMPORTANT event on the Scout calendar.
Other highlights for Term 1 include:
Canoe Course. Run over 2 weekends (11th / 12th Feb & 4th / 5th Mar), this course get's you upto a level 2 canoeing qualification. The first weekend is 11th - 12th Feb, so if you are interested, fill in the E1 form below and hand it into Markella right away (note that this first weekend clashes with our Family Camp)
Sirius Cup. 17th - 19th Mar. Our favorite camp by the beach at Balmoral Oval. Keep the weekend free and hone up your sailing and canoeing skills. If you want to know more about Sirius Cup - ask you PL or a leader and read more about it here ScoutHike. 5th - 7th May. Registrations open on the 1st Feb for ScoutHike and we will be organising patrols as soon as we start this term, so think about whether you want to go, and if you do, do you want to be competitive (and have fun) or just have fun? If you don't know what ScoutHike is - ask you PL or Leader and read more about it on the web here
Sailing. As usual, the sailing leaders will be running our summer sailing program every Sunday from 1 - 4pm at the Meadowbank Boatshed (except for 12th Feb and 19th Mar). If you are interested, please tell a leader.
