The Nth Epping Hall has been a recent target of numerous graffiti attacks. To remove graffiti in the past, different shades of paint have been used and this detracts from the appearance of the building. Graffiti Removal Day is a statewide Rotary initiative to assist the community to remove graffiti from the local district. This activity is scheduled for Sunday 20th October and will give us the opportunity to improve the entrance area of the hall and attempt to discourage further vandalism. All of the materials will be provided for us, the paint will be supplied by Dulux. Appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) will also be available as required. However, we will need to provide the volunteers. This is a community activity and we need support from the families that make use of the facilities. To be successful, we need about 10 parents and some youth members to commit to spending a few hours on Sunday afternoon. Here is a link to the Scouts NSW website about this. http://www.nsw.scouts.com.au/latest-news/graffiti-removal-day-2013 Please let me know by Sunday 13th October if you would like to participate in this activity.
